* thankful *

"It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the organizer, who gave us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the Soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Today, on the eve of Veteran's Day, I, among all of us, have much to be grateful for. I am so very grateful for those who have given their all, who are even now willing to give their all, to protect our freedoms and to preserve our way of life.
I am grateful for heroes.
Especially this one. But I may be a little biased ;)

It has been awhile since I read blogs, so I am happily surprised to see you are in VA. We are in Md, so if you make your way to the DC area we could try to get together. Your girls are adorable.
